Programs We Offer

Our Instructional Format

All of our programs are designed to provide anglers with ample hands on instruction and a wealth of knowledge.  We use a what, where, when, why, and how approach, to give the angler a clear understanding of the task at hand.  By breaking things down to their simplest form, learning and retaining information becomes easy, and that’s our specialty.  Learning food sources, or matching the hatch, as we like to call it, reading the water, line control, or mending, covering the water column top to bottom, casting strokes, and rigging are all major components for a fruitful day on the water.  We will cover these topics in depth and teach you how to apply them. We really do take fishing to the next level!

Full Day / Half Day Drift Boat Tours

Sit back and relax, as your guide mans the oars and navigates you down the river.  The drift boat is a great way to fish the day away and see a lot of river.  We are able to cover water that is difficult to access by foot and your guide can get you close to the fish, giving you the best shot at making a spot on presentation.  The drift boat is also an effective tool for lake and pond fishing.  A stable platform and comfy seating make these trips a joy.

Full Day Programs are an eight hour duration. These trips will include a lunch and beverages provided by the guide. If you have any special food needs please let us know in advance.

Half Day Programs are a four hour duration. These trips include snacks and beverages provided by the guide.

We encourage customers to bring their own gear, such as rods, boots and waders. If you do not have gear, we can provide it for you upon request. Please let us know your needs in advance. Your guide will have the terminal tackle (flies, leaders, tippet, etc.) needed for your trip, but please feel free to bring your own. Of course, hands on-instruction is always the focus of our all programs.

Full Day / Half Day Wading Tours

Wading trips are an excellent choice for anglers seeking lots of hands on instruction.  When wade fishing, your guide is able to stay at your shoulder and give you constant attention.  A task not always easily preformed from the boat.  For groups of three to four anglers wading trips are the only option.  In addition wading affords us the ability to pull up stakes if the fishing is slow, and explore another near by body of water.

Casting Clinics / Fly Casting, Spey Casting, Double & Single Hand

Casting Clinics are a two hour duration. We encourage customers to bring their own equipment. If you do not have equipment, we can provide it for you upon request.  Our standard casting clinic focuses on the basics.  We cover both the roll cast and false cast, with a goal of building a solid foundation on which to build.  In addition to basic casting fundamentals, we also go over the rod, reel, line, and how to select a set up that fits your needs.  As well as a basic lesson in entomology and how to select a fly.  Our other types of casting clinics are geared more toward the experienced caster.  We will help you refine your cast, teach you new variations of different strokes, or get you started with the fundamentals and different strokes used for spey casting.  These classes will be customized to your specific needs or request.  With over 16 years of casting instruction under our belt, the teaching methods we use are clear, concise, and easy to understand for people of all ability levels.  We can help make you a better caster!

What is not included with your trip:

A valid fishing license for the state you intend to fish and for the duration you intend to fish. Fishing Licenses are available to purchase on each State’s Fish & Wildlife website or at some local retail/tackle shops. Your guide will want to inspect your license to avoid any conflict, and your license must remain with you at all times while fishing.

Weather appropriate clothing, we fish rain or shine and sometimes weather can change quickly. It is always a good idea to have additional layers and rain gear. A hat and polarized sunglasses are strongly recommended. Insect repellent and sun screen are also advised.  You will also need your own source of transportation.

Gratuities are customary and always appreciated. If your guide works hard for you, please show your appreciation with a handshake and a handsome tip.
